Quote of the Day:

United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales:

"President Washington, President Lincoln, President Wilson, President Roosevelt have all authorized electronic surveillance on a far broader scale."

I'm going to play that video clip all day long tomorrow at work. Hell, I want to make it the ringtone on my phone.

And just to clarify, because my memory fails me at the moment: During what war, exactly, would President Washington have authorized, um, electronic surveillance?

Where's Detachment 2702 when we need it?

"But if they're not reminded about it all the time in the newspapers and in stories, they sometimes forget."
